I'm on July 5th as well! Getting nervous! Currently at 264, want to get down to 260 by surgery day. Have you started a Protein Shake diet yet?

I'm self pay in Mexico, so I'm on the low end of the BMI for sleeve spectrum. I don't need to do a pre-op, yay for me! I'm just so sick of the weight already.

I've been fat my whole life so I am really looking forward to the freedom from weight as well. Good luck to you!

I'm scheduled for the 5th. I started my liquid diet today. Going to bed hungry. Bought all my Vitamins today. My mom flies in to help take care of my kids on Monday. Last day of work will be Tuesday. The time can't go fast enough!

Yea! My doctor doesn't require the liquid diet until three days before surgery but I think I will start tomorrow because I've had a few too many "food funerals" this last week.????

Glad you are feeling better! Today was my rough day. The gas pain is excruciating! Pain meds help, but they make me nauseous. Hoping for a better day tomorrow.

How are you other July 5thers feeling. I spent two nights in the hospital, rough but I am feeling so much better. Not having any problems getting down fluids or Protein. Energy level is low, abdomen is tight, but not on any pain meds.

Today is my first day without pain meds (so far). I also spent 2 days in the hospital and am glad I did. I was not ready to come home before that. I'm doing well now. Heading out for a walk in a moment. Meeting all my Water and Protein goals. I think I'm going to be sick of these liquids pretty soon though. Actually I'm already getting a little bored at home. I'm off until e 22nd so I gotta think of something fun to do.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
