I eat cheese sticks, eggs, oatmeal, cream of wheat, Special K Protein, protein bars, cottage cheese, Jello, pudding, grilled chicken, green Beans, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, Lima beans, black bean Soup, lentil soup, chic peas, refrained beans, cheddar cheese, Laughing Cow cheese, pumpkin custard, egg custard, greek yogurt Protein Drinks. I have trouble with meats. My stomach doesn't like them. I'm 8 weeks out. I wrote out a 14 day menu and change each day. Easy. Hope this helps.

I wanted to ditch the shakes and also am a bit lactose intolerant, so I eat lots of meats. Deli meat, turkey Jerky, for Breakfast a skinny English muffin w cheese and sausage, pork tenderloin, chicken, taco meat, steak.

I do Greek yogurt, Protein bars, some fruits and veggies and whatever the family is having for dinner. Tonight I had a small piece of pepperoni pizza.

Can't wait til I can tolerate more cheeses, they are great easy Protein.< /p>

The only thing I haven't tried is steak, broccoli, bread and rice. Otherwise I eat what I want but I do avoid most mindless carbs. :)

Hi! I'm also 8 weeks out and have noticed that meat does not sit well with my tummy either. No matter how small the piece, how much sauce is on it or how many times I chew it goes down like a brick and just sits there. So uncomfortable!

I've heard that may change later on. I'm not really worried about it. chicken is basically the only meat I've eaten for many years. (or Hamburger in a casserole. )

Hi, I'm 3 months out and actually there isn't anything on the approved list the NUT gave me that I can't eat. I can eat steak, chicken, roast pork, turkey and seafood, fish. I don't eat many carbs because they are not on the approved diet list I was given, I can eat all veggies and fruit, even salad.< /p>

That's great!! I'm eating Protein and veggies hoping to get a quicker weight loss. Not really working! Faxing my menu to my dr tomorrow to see if they have some suggestions.

I was eating salad at week 8 for sure. The thing is thou you have to get the Protein in while you enjoy the salad. Salad will fill you up real fast so make sure you get plenty of protein in while you enjoy it. Don't eat anything real fibrous like broccoli. Otherwise enjoy it! :)

I had a slice of pizza for the first time in 10 weeks. It was heaven. Ate everything except the crust. Filled my pouch up perfectly, this could be a slippery slope for me.

I kind of reverted back to my pre op diet, I am doing a Protein shake for Breakfast and lunch and fish for dinner.

12g carbs

100g Protein

I don't really measure. I just eat non-fried Protein first (usually chicken, sometimes beef pork or turkey), then a cooked veggie (green Beans carrots, never corn :-(. And then I sometimes eat a bit of mashed sweet potatoes or something. It's whatever my family is eating, just much smaller portions. Using a smaller plate really helps. It took a little while to learn how much to eat. For a while i as just filling up on Protein.

I too have eaten a slice of pizza once or twice. But instead of pepperoni and black olives...times 3 or 4. I eat one slice of chicken pizza. Yum! I'm still scared to add some new things. I've heard bad things about salads too soon...working up the courage. Good luck to all!!

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
