Been trying to drink the vanilla for the past couple days to get my Protein and i just cant take the taste.

So i just tried the chocolate and OMG ITS GREAT lol.

Why did i think i wasnt going to like CHOCOLATE !!!!

Thank god my vanilla is ALMOST gone and then I can fully start my chocolate shakes.

30g of protein and my dr. wants me to drink 2 a day.

Today will be my 1st official day of getting ALL my protein in YAY

I also bought a few cases of Priemer and started with the chocolate...they are indeed pretty good. I did the whey Protein self made shakes during my pre op diet and got burnt out on those really quick. Today on the other hand I had the vanilla and it was horrible...I'm stuck with the case unless I can take it back to costco and have them switch the flavor for me;) I heard the Chike Protein Drink are fabulous...they come in coffee flavor. Best of luck to all

I can drink the Vanilla but I'm glad I only got one box. I think I might put some Water Enhancer drops in it next time. They advertise a strawberry, I haven't found it at any Sams Clubs here though. I have the Premier chocolate at least once a day.

I just recieved my sample pack from Chike yesterday and last night I had the Bananna and it was really good! I also have samples coming from Click and Big train. All 3 of those have coffee flavors.

strawberry sounds yummy! I put mine in the freezer while I fix Breakfast for my little one then enjoy it while he eats. In the beginning days it took me until almost noon to finish it. I believe it's helped in my success this far. I noticed today I had either head hunger or actual hunger, I didn't finish the vanilla one this morning:/ I will be back on my chocolate one tonight

How do you get samples?

I got all three direct from their respective web sites. You can also get some samples from Amazon.< /p>

I dont know if its ok to post website URLs on here but you can google them all by their names. Chike is called Chike Nutrition.

I'm glad I had gotten samples from nectar because I hate them all. I would be unhappy if I had a whole canister.

I am dying to find some Protein shakes I like! I have not even come CLOSE to getting enough Protein. Before the surgery I was doing Advocare and I really like them, now though I cannot even get down one ounce. Tried the Lean Muscle Milk today in the vanilla flavor and could only get down about 5 sips- yuck!

My dr didn't seem too concerned about the lack of protein (yet), he just wanted me to get enough liquids in period, but I am not on mushies for another two weeks. I do not want to lose a lot of hair!

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
