Hi Chrispy,

I am so glad you are bringing Sherry. I wondered why she hadn't responded to the talk so far. Also, where is Rainbow? Our BIDMC group should all be there. Looking forward to this. Is Joe's Grill visible from outside? Or which store should I choose to park near? :phanvan Getting excited.

I'm probably going to get my date at the end of January, so I'd like the opportunity to sit down and ask questions with those who've already had it done at BIDMC.

I live in Dorchester, and can travel anywhere. Please email me back at johnwood8@yahoo.com

Thanks

Hi Everyone

I truly wish I could join you but hubby works on Saturday and I have the official duty of bringing the kids to their various commitments.

I was really hoping to meet all of you guys.

I know that it will be a great time and hopefully it can become a regular thing, at least 2x/year???

Have a good week everyone!

Geeeeeeeeeeeeeesh folks I couldn't find this thread for anything! I did a search on Boston Meet, BIDMC Meet, Massachusetts bandsters, MA band lmao the only reason I found this now was because I cheated and looked at Chrispys last posts hahahaha. YESSSSSSSSSSSSS I'm so in. Can't wait to finally meet some fellow bandsters that I've been chattin with. Soo do you think Joe's can handle this many bandsters hahaha. This should be lots of fun! I'm so excited! I get to drive up with Chrispy and chit chat the whole way....then hook up wit da goils and giggle, laugh and share experiences. NIIIIIIICE. Hmmm...hey....idea here...I have a bunch of clothes that are size 22 and 20 and some 18s, that I'm no longer using. I'm willing to bring them with me if you girls would like to pick through them? I'm sending some to a friend from Michigan but, she doesn't want the jeans cause she has plenty of causual things so I'll bring em with me. What do you think?

Anyone else have things they'd like to bring? Do you like the idea? If not that's ok too I'll donate them...no sense in good clothes going to waste right? I was very fortunate because my friend Jenn JUST LOVE HER!, gave me a bunch of her clothes..she was smaller than me when we started banding so it's worked out very well...for me anyway. :) So I'd like to pay it forward too :)

I'm sure we'll do just fine and stay out of trouble....better yet..bunch of women together BRING IT ON MALL! lol

Hi Sherry,

I am so glad you finally responded, I wondered where you were. They will have to give us the whole resteraunt we will be having so much fun. And on the other site you asked what I am allergic to in the Protein Drink. I am allergic to dairy and soy. The things June wants me to try have whey which I don't know about. And one has something I have never heard of. And because they are different I have to order them on-line (she gave me enough for 1 day). So, I will see. Good to hear from you.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
