New Food Find! Especially for my full liquid friends...

Recommended Posts

I am not a big yogurt fan, but it's obviously become a staple in my life this last month. I am allowed smooth, no lump, greek yogurt as part of my full liquid phase so I've obviously been stuck with vanilla 75% of the time. I've been eating Dannon Fit and Light, Greek, Double Protein at 80 calories and 12 grams of Protein.< /p>

The other day, while stocking up at Walmart, I found the new Dannon Blends line. It includes Orange Cream, Key Lime, Coconut vanilla, and banana Cream. I have had all of them but the Orange and they are delicious. I am not a huge coconut fan (I'm a liker not a lover) and it's subtle but good. This line isn't overly sweet and you can't really taste the Greek in it.

What a great choice! SO much better than another chocolate Protein shake. Blurp.

LOL! I've never been a fan of Greek Yogurt (I hear it's an acquired taste), but I'm loving my Yoplait Light in yummy flavors - Boston Cream Pie is the best! Of course, I'm still supplementing with Protein Shakes, but that little extra taste is yum!

Dannon Light and Fit doesn't have the same Greek taste as the others, so I would suggest buying one and giving it a try. Even my 15 year old who hates Greek yogurt can eat this one without complaining. It's worth the protein!

I've since tried Chobani's flavored Greek yogurts and LOVE them! I don't even want to eat regular yogurt anymore because they can't compare with the Protein content of Greek!

How much protein and sugar is in the Dannon Blends? I love the Light and Fit Greek, but would like more charity.

One of my favorite things to do is to freeze it.

I too got worried about the sugar content in the flavored Greeks yogurts. Chobani was my go to the first 2-3 months after surgery. Now I get the unflavored chobani and add a teaspoon of Torani sugar free flavored Syrup. You can get peach, raspberry, vanilla... Etc. so good! Very little sugar and the 6 oz plain Greek yogurt has 17 grams of protein!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
