I am trying soooo hard to convince my mind that I a not starving and I can make it through this liquid diet. My stomach is on fire!!! It feels like I should be a freakin size 0 right now! Lol

Are there any "good" Protein shakes that have flavor variety?? So maybe if this liquid diet kills me it can at least kill me softly.

I started my liquid pre-op diet on Monday, and the first two days were BRUTAL. I tried a few Protein Shakes, but didn't like any of them. Really struggled to get them down and was starving! Then I saw a recipe on here for a "creamsicle" shake, tried it, and have actually enjoyed it (that's right - ENJOYED it!) for the past three days. Just mix a 1/2 packet of orange-flavor crystal light with 8 oz Water, then add a scoop of vanilla Protein Powder. Shake or blend well to get rid of all the lumps, and seriously - pretty darn good. I am planning to try this with some other crystal light flavors to see if I like them too.

Hey Pretty_Heavy, try the Atkins French vanilla shake, they are very good. I'm funny with anything if it don't look, smell, semi taste good forget it. But I know this is now a life change and that shake I tried and drank with no problem. I start my two week pre op on 6/10. My 7 year old son is still trying to get me to give him one after I let him taste it. Also someone above gave a recipe for orange cicle and I'll try that today. Good luck hun.

It depends on your pre op diet. As for me, it's all liquids for 7 days. No solids but would love to eat some veggies now!

I buy Premier Protein from costco but you can also get it at Sam's Club. It is sooo good but I've only had the chocolate flavor. They have 30 grams of Protein, 3 grams of fat and 5 carbs. If you get lots of protein you won't be as hungry. Mine is a 2 week liquid diet pre-op but I can have greek yogurt so that helps. Keep up the effort because it is worth it!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
