I find there is so many things I think I like..but I dont anymore.. so Im happy with the limited stuff I can eat.. my tummy tells me what is good and what isnt.. I dont take in many calories.. not as much as the doctor wants.. but hey im down 94lbs and Ive hit the stall you probably have heard people talk about. .but they thats ok.. it will start again the weight coming off.. people keep saying I need to stop losing.. lol but im not at my goal wt yet.. im like 53lbs away from that.. I think ive lost some inches rather than wt.. but thats ok to.. oh the joys of shopping now.. I love shopping.. where as before I hated it.. just think of all the rewards you will have.. pretty soon.. no more hunger.. EVER. that is the most awesome thing ever.. I dont get hungry.. I eat when Im suppose to.. limited snacks.. my tummy is picky now lol.. and I cant believe im gonna say this.. but I really dont care about food or not.. doesnt bother me.. just hang in there.. it will get so much better.. you will see.. keep up the good work.. follow what your doc says.. its all good.. and others will tell you too... welcome to our journeys :)

Thank you everyone and my surgery was may 7th

well, Landen, I can't comfort you but I can commiserate...I was sleeved on May 6, so we are pretty much on the same track. While I was on liquids post-op for about 2 weeks, I lost 20 lbs and thought at least the suffering through the many Protein shakes and the hunger (I had real hunger and still do unfortunately, not one of the lucky ones) was worth it...now that I have been on soft foods for almost 2 weeks now, I have lost maybe one pound during this phase..I am extremely frustrated, sad and on the verge of regretting the surgery (though not quite there yet)...I am following the program except that I need to exercise more (I am still just walking about 20 minutes per day)--the problem is, though, that I am so weak and tire so easily that about all I can do is the 20 minutes...in the end, I am a realist, though...I knew when I made the decision to have the surgery that there was no turning back and that there was no guarantee of success..the most I can do--and the same with you--is give it my best and--at least for me--continue praying for strength to hang in there

Thank you. yes, but I'm in the same boat on exercising, I am too tired to get out of bed! But I also had an er visit for low potassium which makes you tired, so I'm still working on that. Good luck to you as well.

I'm looking forward to soft foods. Still in the liquid phase and pureed Soup.

I agree the exercise is a challenge, I get dizzy when I'm standing for very long so I haven't been walking as much as I expected, probably only about 20 minutes a day.

I'm supposed to go back to work next week, so I need to get my strength up for that. Luckily I'm at a desk so no lifting involved.

So far no regret, but I'm fighting against impatience. I keep telling myself - this is the rest of my life. Weight loss will eventually come. I'll eventually be able to eat more enjoyable foods. I just need to work on my slimming perspective, replacing food desire with other activities and things I enjoy. I have hope for the first time in a long time.

mirrim, I took 3 weeks off of work as well, and I have a desk job...just advising you to take it easy tht first week back at work....I originally had planned to work half days for my first week back but that didn't work out...at the end of each 8 hour day, I was exhausted, and at the end of the week, TGIF took on an entirely enhanced meaning! things are much better this week...just don't overdo it when you go back to work...best to you

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
