Best low fat yogurt for 2nd week post op?

Recommended Posts

I'm not much of a yogurt person, the only kind I've had in the past year or two is Greek with honey. Since honey is probably not a good idea please tell me your favorites!

Thank you!!!

I use the Fage 0 and melt honey and add it in. I eat it anytime my stomach hurts or is upset. You can feel it working and I love it.

Yoplait Greek 100 calorie. I get the vanilla and add some sugar free flavoring, the kind like you get for coffee or Italian soda. ( my dr said no chunks until 6 weeks).

My list just states "low fat yogurt", it crossed my mind that plain could be the suggestion as my phase 3 list states "yogurt (no berries or anything with seeds)". But if non sugar sweeteners and diluted fruit juices are permitted during the liquid stage it seems a low fat lemon/vanilla/coffee type should be okay???

Yeah, It sounds like you are allowed flavored!

I guess I was the only one that had to do plain

For the beginning stages :(

On that note I'm six months out.

And I love the plain Fage 2% it's my daily treat/meal

I do put one packet of sweetener in it and frozen blueberries :)

I just sent a note out to my doc asking for clarification, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it needs to be plain! We shall see:-)

Thanks for responding!

I don't know it makes sense because it seems EVERYTHING we eat now is artificially sweetened.. Especially in the early stages.

So why not the yogurt?

I should of pushed that point in the beginning to find out why!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
