I'm 5 days post and feeling great. Hardly no pain, i can drink or sip with hardly any pain. My dilemma is that I'm ready to start the next stage! I am so sick of Clear Liquids. Do you all think because I'm doing so well, I can start incorporating Soups? Lol or stick to the plan?

Glad to hear you are doing so well! I am 6 days post op and feeling almost normal. I definitely do not think it is a good idea to go against what your doctor has said to do. I know how you feel, I have 3 weeks of liquids. But no matter how well I feel, this is a time for our new stomach to heal. Not to mention our stomachs are still swollen from surgery!! Do not go on and put whatever you want in your mouth, the doctor really knows best! Wouldn't want you to be one of those people who ate whatever they thought they could and end up back in the hospital with a leak! Go slow, give yourself time to heal! Good luck!

I would stick to the plan until u here Different from your doctor.. Give this Staples time to heal.. You don't want to start adding extra and then you do run into a problem I think you should play it Safe. I know that I said than done

If you are talking to your surgeon tomorrow, I would suggest you stay on clear liquids until then.

I was sleeved on the 21st and they started me on full liquids on day 2 in the hospital and I had creamed soups and they brought me cream of wheat which I couldn't eat it was nasty without anything in it.

Like you said your feeling GREAT, that's because you've been following doctors orders. The old saying applies "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". U just have a little while longer. The better your tummy feels, the better it will handle food when I start introducing it. Just my thoughts.... :)

Congrats on 5 days, I am 4 days post op and today I was told to start full liquids, eating a sugar free pudding and it is doin well right now. Accourding to my Dr.s orders, 3 days post op clear liquids, then 7 days for full liquid (cream Soups included) then 3 weeks of puree foods. Only introduce 1 new food at a time

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
