Hi,

I had mine on Monday afternoon. So far so good. I had no where near the discomfort like I had getting my Gall Bladder out two years ago. Too bad the Doc could not use the same holes. I'm tyring to get used of the taste of the Protein shakes and forcing myself to drink Water regularlly. I feel every swallow. Yesterday, every swallow required a small "burp" for relief, today not so much. Today, I started on the Vitamins and I have allot of energy back.

I also feel ever sip. I can't start full liquids until Monday. Still sore but getting my fluids in via Decaf tea and broth. Water well I never liked water. I also have a hard time finding a good position to sleep in. Post op appointment said everything was good. Everyday gets easier.

I was sleeved on the 20th. It does get better, just gotta hang in there. Get your rest and soon it will be behind us. Today was my worst day since being home. I hardly drank, nausea was setting in once again and all it did was make me worry that I would end up back in the hospital. Tomorrow is a new day and I pray it's a better one. I hope for all of us feeling this way that tomorrow is much better. :)

Thank you for your words of encouragement. I'm much better after walking some more, napping, and passing gas (sorry tmi). Lastly I had a few tsp of Tomato Soup and the pains in my stomach have ceased. I was so worried. You are right thus will get easier!

I was sleeved may 20 and so far everything is going well except for the gas pain. I also experience a sharp pain on my left side after I drink so that's either gas or my body adjusting cause as soon as I get up its gone.

I was sleeved on may 20. I am doing really good! (thank God) had a very easy time! No pain hardly at all! I only took one pain pill when I left the hospital. The only trouble I am having is drinking enough. I am having I assume are gas pains when I try to drink. But other than that Im doing well. Hope things get better for you!

I was sleeved 21st and have been light headed dizzy and had a small buzzing headache also very nauseous and find eating anything and getting my fluids in a massive struggle. I am however feeling a bit better each day and hope I will be stronger soon, I'm still in bed most of the day!

I was sleeved on may 22. Well I was a revision from vbg to vsg. Doing well in keeping my fluids downs and the meals provided. I can't for the life of me drink the horrible shakes. Omg they are horrible. I like the EAS carb control Protein Shakes so I will do those when I get home. The worst part for me was having the NG tube for 3 days and now the drainage bulb on my side. But it's all for good reasons. One day at a time. I'll be glad to be out if the recovery stage and seeing some actual weight loss. How long before we seen some down numbers

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
