May 14th. Had my drain removed today and will be flying home tomorrow. Can't wait! Weighed at the dr's office, down 8.5 lbs (didn't have to do a pre-op diet). Not sure I believe that. LOL Never lost 8 lbs in one week before, so I tend to think it's just Water weight or something.

Health-wise, I feel fine! No issues with drinking, got cleared for pureed foods today (soft on the 29th), and feel pretty close to normal. Better, in fact, because my Lapband had me miserable leading up to the surgery.

Sleeved May 6th. Down 20 pounds from 234 5'4". I am having a hard time getting my Protein in since post op. I can drink plenty of fluids just not Protein shakes :( I have tried several. I just got to purée stage and have tolerated some food. I just have this constant bad taste in my mouth no matter how many times a day I brush my teeth/tounge. Does anyone else have this problem? Congrats on everyone's success :)

Yes! I was just thinking the same thing about the bad taste in my mouth. I have been brushing my teeth several times a day and the bad taste just comes back after a while. Im still in the liquid stage so I was thinking maybe that had something to do with it but I don't know...glad to know I'm not the only one though. I was starting to think something was wrong with me.

It really does suck! I thought mine would have gone away with eating some food but not yet. If you find a solution please let me know, and I will too! I can't stand anything sweet either and I think that is why I can't tolerate the shakes. But I need to get Protein in or I will loose my hair :( Best of luck to you!!!

I had mine on May 15th. Wednesday starts week 2 and I can FINALLY have thicker liquids. Can Anyone explain exactly what "thicker" liquids are??

My dr allows yogurt (frozen or normal) , the "cream ofs" Soups, Protein shakes :)-- I like smoothie king's gladiator vanilla powder

Thinned grits and anything you ate during clear

I had my surgery may 14 and I'm down 14 pounds. I'm still having a little trouble getting my liquids down because I'm having to take tiny sips since its still making me feel a little sick. I have more energy it seems like but when I get up and move around I get a little dizzy and I get out of breath very quickly...even just going from living room to bathroom. Anyone else having this problem?

I had surgery on the 17th and I'm short of breath as well. My hospital wanted us to practice 12 deep breathes an hour. I'm sure it's normal.

I had surgey May 1. I am down 31lbs. My body is somewhat sore because I had the sleeve and my ballbladder removed at the same time. Honestly I ate moist chicken and spinach yesterday and I felt fine. My doctor has me on full liquids until I see him next week but I am miserable on it. I had to do two weeks pre op and 5 weeks post op. Hopefully the struggle gets better because I am wanting food especially since I have began to cook again for my hubby and kids.

Did u lose all 31 lbs since surgery or was done of that pre-op!

Sleeved 5/8, down 16 pounds since surgery and down 41 pounds total including the pre-op diet. I have been feeling great, and have had no issues since surgery. I start my pureed stage on Wednesday, which I am nervous about. Congratulations everyone on their success. :)

Gas-X strips! worked for me' date=' anyway.

I'm 32 y/o female, sleeved 5/2. Down 27lbs since surgery. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Doing great - have had zero nausea, vomiting, dizziness since day one! Getting about 1000 cals a day and 90g Protein. Can drink normally - haven't felt hungry since pre-op! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />[/quote']

What are you doing to get your 90g of Protein? Thats the hardest thing I hve to deal with...that and getting fluids.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
