No, it's the 16th. I didn't realize I typed the 26th. I edited it, don't want to jinx myself lol.

Oh that's still not too far! :D

You have had it done already?

Nope I have a band that I am getting removed and being sleeved tomorrow. I have trouble absorbing Vitamins unrelated to WLS. My body is just weird. I had to have an Iron infusion almost two months ago bc my Iron got so low.

I was commenting on why I chose the sleeve over gastric bypass. I don't want to have my intestines rerouted and have malnutrition problems more than you would have with the sleeve.

I have been reading various posting and found yours to be more personal. I had to have a MRI on my knee and found I have multiple tears. I have been told in the past that I should consider the surgery by a doctor. I guess I was more nervous because I would hear the negative stories about people not making it afterwards. I have my appointment with my primary doctor to see what she suggest. This time, I will obey the instruction and act on my Faith in God. I am 53 yrs old and want to live healthy life... I am sorry, I did not do this when my insurance approval me. I am encourage and want to feel better ....

I am sorry to hear about your knee. I hope that you and your doctor find the right option for you. Also, i do believe that everything is meant to be and has its timing. I was scared too because I already had the lapband fail. I also, started to get scared that I would not make it through the surgery but I tell you, everything fell into place so perfectly that I had to believe this was the right choice for me. There were so many things that all had to be perfect and they kept all happening. I told my husband that I felt I was meant to not be approved 3 years ago because I would have had the bypass and that surgery scared me and I already have problems with my Vitamin levels so I don't need the mal nutrition. I took it on faith that this was the right decision for me and I had my surgery on 6/25. I am not going to say that recovery is easy but I know that I will be able to live my life again and my back will get better and better as my weight decreases. Good luck and I will pray for you. Also, if you have any questions feel free to message me, I would be more than happy to answer them for you.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
