I couldn't go to a gym without being heavily medicated. Too fat, no cute clothes, I sweat, too far, no time, no gas in the car, no tolerance for skinny cute girls.

Do what I did. Do it one time. Try to go 10 minutes at a leisurely pace. If you're really dying after 10 minutes stop, pat yourself on the back for a fine 10 minutes and vow to do 12 minutes the next day. Then do it.

Or, like Carlene, just put on some sneakers, walk out the front door and keep going.

All I know is once I vowed to TRY a little each day, the scale started moving and my waistbands started getting looser.

Coincidence?

I'm really proud of you. Do you sweat yet? I love to feel myself break into a full out sweat. It's so.... satisfying.

Keep up the good work!

Nathalie

Nathalie,

you are a sick sick girl ... :welldone2:

i am just experiencing the sweating again ... it was there quite a bit when i first started, but now i have to really work hard on the treadmill (more than 25 mins and a pretty big incline) to start sweating ...

until today ... i made friends with Ed (elliptical) ... 5 minutes on that and it looked like it was raining outside. so i went to the treadmill for 21 mins then back on the elliptical ... i could almost wring my clothes out at the end.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
