Hi,

I was sleeved yesterday at 11 am and I feel great! My surgery lasted 1hr 15min, during surgery DR found a significant amount of scar tissue so he went ahead and removed it. I woke up from recovery room about 1pm in "discomfort" but not pain so she gave me 1/2 dose of pain med I was good, I have been pretty much like this whole time. My main goal was to walk as much as possible so I have been walking around hospital floor about 18X which is not over exaggerating! I think this whole expierence is a wake call to how critical it is to do everything right! God bless any questions just ask

Congrats! I was up every morning in the hospital at 4 am walking! It really is one of the best times to get out and walk when not so many people are there. Good luck and here's to a speedy recovery.

Congrats! We have the same date. My procedure was at 730 but I was in a considerable amt of pain/agitation until 4pm. We got the morphine& toradol combo just right to ease the pain and help me smile again! Today I'm switching to po pain meds & been up walking 6x's total. I had a in diagnosed hiatal hernia repaired with my sleeve. All in all I feel like a new woman than yesterday! I was SO moody, crazy how pain will do that to u. Keep up the good work but goes to show, everyone is different. My husband has been my right hand man, could not have done it without his constant help! Will u go home today? We plan on discharge but have a 3 hr drive home to OKC from TX.

I was sleeved on the 6th also. No pain at all in my stomach. Only pain where he repaired a hiatal hernia. I'm walking around the hospital to relieve the gas. It really hasn't been too bad

I didn't have any pain from surgery either (aside from residual gas pain in my left shoulder that cleared). Walking was easy although I found once I was home it was easy to overdo it and be super tired. I had more energy 5 days after surgery then I did on my preop diet a week before.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
