June surgery dates

  • Popular Post

Hello all! I've been reading the forum for the past couple of months, thank you all for the great advice and sharing your experiences. It's been very helpful and informative! I met with the surgeon a week ago today, my surgery date is June 26. Anyone else for June?

Is everything ok or was it just a scheduling conflict?

Schedule. My boss asked me to wait.

Well darn! Hopefully you will learn more tips before your day. Stay positive and continue to drop the weight! Sending prayers!

Oh no! I am sorry to hear that. I hate it when work interferes with my health. I have only been at my job for 5 months and took a risk asking for a leave this early. They seemed ok with it. We will see when I get back how they really feel lol

Hopefully your time will pass quickly and you will soon be on the sleeved side.

Hi all wanted to check in, I was sleeved yesterday--surgery went well and Dr. Lee my PA said I have beautiful anatomy, I bet he says that to all his sleeve patients!! Lol

Anyway my reaction to the anesthesia was tough!! I was very out of it in the recovery room shaky lots of aches and pains...some dry heaving, yucky spittle and a low grade headache, also nausea that lasted into this morning.. basically just laid here in and out of a light sleep...the nausea subsided once they took me off of the injectable pain meds and the anti nausea medication did help, so it came in waves instead of being constant...

Overall I'm doing well....I can say that now bc they gave me some lortab orally, which I'm told is liquid vicadin about 10 mins ago..and right now nothing really hurts except where the drain is...also they took out the catheter and I've been able to tinkle on my own, and have some ice chips and propel

Catering has been by twice, so my broth and Jello which I haven't touched yet is starting to pile up (that never would have happened before!!)...I'm not hungry at all...

I'm so happy there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel, I know there's a long road to go, but I'm still happy with my decision and just wanted to thank all of you for your support up to this point... reading everyone's preop and post op experiences had really prepared me for my own...

THANK YOU!!

I was sleeved yesterday!!! Very excited all went well they even fixed my hiatal hernia. I am now 24 hours from surgery relaxing in the comforts of my own bed at home. I have only minor discomfort from the hernia repair. I feel very blessed and thankful!

How come?

Was sleeved on Monday everything went ok, my Doctor said my abdominal wall was thick not sure what that means but my stomach is very sore still. Came home on Wednesday did really good until now running a slight fever 99.7. Has anyone had a fever and what did you do for it. Thanks all hope everyone is doing well.

I would take Tylenol (gelcaps) for the fever to see if it breaks it. If it doesn't, contact your surgeon's office and let them know.

Wasn't sure if I could take Tylenol will have to try it thanks.

I know gelcaps were on my pre-op shopping list, so if they weren't, I wouldn't have known either! :D Hope your fever goes away soon!
