I practiced twice and failed miserably. I've decided that I'll do better when I know there are consequences.

I've been trying to chew slower... so hard, need to be more mindful of this. Haven't started separating drink and food yet but thanks for the reminder.

Monday is my pre-surgery appointment and surgery on the 18th!

June 5th is coming fast! I have spent the last month doing the "lasts" like I do whenever I start a diet and have gained weight according to my dr.'s scale. I finally figured out how to do a ticker and am using my own home scale as my guide. I know that these are not "really" my lasts but it seems like such a long time before I will be able to eat normal (albeit) smaller meals again. I am really kind of nervous but so ready to take the first step...Dr. said to start the pre-op diet 5 days out but I started today...just want to get in the right mindset and try to lose a little before the surgery. Today wasn't too bad until I had an appointment in the afternoon and I forgot to bring a shake with me. By the time I was done my appointment' date=' I was getting the shakes and a headache and felt like passing out but I still had to stop at the grocery store to pick up the stuff for my diet...soon as I got home I chugged a Protein Shake and then made some Soup. I laid down to try and calm my head and fell asleep. Headache is now a little better :) Anyone else do the "lasts" like I did?[/quote']

I have been for the last month and I don't even have my date yet...bit I have alternated with shakes or regular soups....but I should know it by Monday I HOPE!!!

Hi June sleevers! First off good luck to those of you going in the next few days :D I can only imagine the anxiousness and excitement because I literally almost threw up today when my revision date was confirmed. I am having the band out and sleeved all in one on June 25th. Still have an EGD and preop labs to do but then I am set :) so excited and nervous and some other feelings that are hard to put words to...

Oh and hello to my sleeve siblings!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
