Read the link in my signature "100 Reasons to Work Out Today".

Tomorrow walk 10 minutes. The day after, walk 10 minutes. Do this every day. It doesn't have to be fast, it doesn't have to be at a gym (unless you want), but you have to do it every day. Get some music if you think it will help.

70lbs in 5 mths is absolutely fantastic... looking good and feeling great. Imagine that x 100 because when you start exercising and toning you body shape will change; you will gain strength; your clothes will look better on you and you will feel great!

Is that enough motivation ...lol

Like DonRodolfo said, start slow and build up. Chose something you enjoy and that you know you will stick with... then start to increase activity and intensity - once comfortable change things up and try new exercises.

Good luck - it will be so worth the sweat!

Good suggestions "Don" and "Coop"! Bianca.....sometimes it's not really all about what kind of activity you are doing, as long as you are doing something/anything physical. So just maybe try experimenting to see what floats your boat and hopefully you'll find some type of physical activity to throw yourself into and perhaps that will be enough motivation for you. If walking on a track in circles doesn't quite do it for you, maybe hiking on nature trails, biking, etc. Sometimes just getting to the track, gym or where ever is half the battle.

At least for me, getting to the gym IS the battle! Once I'm moving, the more I move the better I feel. When I'm done, I'm so happy I went.

Do you have a friend that you can walk with? Having a buddy helps with pace, helps pass the time, and being accountable to you work outs. You won't just be letting yourself down, you'll be letting your friend down too!!

I personally love walking with my dog! He enjoys it more than I do!

I second that! I love walking my dog too! She even asks to be walked!! Seriously. On days where I don't feel like moving, a nudge and whimper of the leash will get me outside for a walk or run. My chessie is up to a 5 mile run! So proud of her. Lol!

That's awesome! I have a shih-tzu so he's not a runner. I'm not quite to the running yet (although I'm currently reading through the distance running forum). I can't wait!!

Due to a medical condition I am limited in the excercise I can do. Typically I walk and do the bike at the gym. However on the days I am not able to get out I bought a small trampoline, I watch tv and walk on it, time passes pretty quickly and it's easy on my joints. I tend to use it during a favorite show so that i stay focused.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
