How do you deal with head hunger? I am going crazy thinking about food! I'll eat a Jello and be full so I know I am not physically hungry, but man am I head hungry! I try not to think about all these "cravings" going through my head, but I am going crazy!!! So any helpful advise would be wonderful!

I have the same problem!! Last night I dreamed of KFC. I DONT like KFC. But geez, I have A LOT of head cravings. I suck on Peanut Butter M&Ms when it gets bad for sweets. It only takes about three to make me feel better. But Red Robin and Taco Bell invade my dreams! I dont know what to do. I hope it gets better, I am one month post op.

I dreamt of McDonald's. lolololol. So I woke up and had Jello. I put a Dan of sugar free whip cream on it and it has made all the difference in the world.

I had dreams about food too. They go away once you are eating a regular diet. I found that the stuff i wanted so badly, (KFC etc) wasn't worth the effort. The greasy, unhealthy stuff is even more filling than other foods. After 3 bites of some KFC I am stuffed. this annoys me to no end so I just make a better choice and can have 4-5 bites instead. Its a trade off.

What bothers me even more than dreaming of certain foods is the head hunger I get when I eat. I know this sounds crazy but I mentally want to eat more even though I am stuffed and physically can't. My mind keeps saying that's so good, just one more bite. I hate that! But luckily like I said I just can't physically do it. Hopefully one day my mind will catch up with my stomach.

I am plain hungry. No such thing as head hunger for me. I try to eat healthy stuff even then I won't stay full for more than one hour. I am starving at all time, so bad my employer let me have 15 mns break ever 2 hours coz I will be irritable, shaking, and plain mean.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
