• EAS 100% Whey Protein Powder

• Beneprotein Powder

The website http://bjsbariatrics.com can send you samples of their Syntrax Nectar Protein for a pretty low price -- $15 for 11 packets, and you get to choose which ones you'd like to try out. I'm ordering some this week.

Hey Vix, I use EAS Advantage, for now. 100 or 110 calories and 17 grams of Protein with zero to 1 gram of sugar. They come in liquid, $4.99 a pack of four, in several flavors. I've enjoyed them so far, but I'm getting sick of them and I have another week! You may have to try a few to see what you really like, cuz you'll be drinking the heck out of them! Also, plain greek yogurt is GREAT for protein! I get 23 grams in one cup of Fage. I've learned to mix in sugar free drink mix, pudding and it's great in cream Soups to thicken.

Syntrax chocolate truffle is actually GOOD. everything else (in my experience) goes from "okay" to "nasty" after having it a few times.

Good luck!

and as far as why there are so many... cuz there's LOTS OF MONEY to be made! ;)

I'll have to try that. A lot cheaper than 'vitalady'.

The first GNC I went to made me a free sample. I don't know if all GNCs do this, but it can't hurt to ask.

What about Isopure? I wish I had found that earlier.

What about Isopure? I wish I had found that earlier.

I've choked down isopure in the past....it's a bit rough and I typically have the constitution of a siberian yak. Usually requires some mixing of fruit or some other carb ladened item to get down, thus negating the reason why you bought the isopure...0 carbs. Just sharing my personal experience. Others swear by it though.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
