Vets: Calling all consistent loggers on MFP!

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I know there are plenty of MFP add threads out there, but most of the people I added in the beginning are no longer active loggers. I figure other people might have that problem too, and I really miss getting meal/snack ideas from there when I feel like I'm in a rut. I don't want to add from those threads because then it would be mostly people in liquid/pureed stages or who are several months out and can still only consume 2-3 ounces of food at a time. I'm hoping to add more friends that are past all that, so I'm starting this so we can all add some new MFP friends in similar stages as ourselves.

I'm not sure if you'd consider me a Veteran but I'm certainly an active MFP logger. I'm six months post-op but I was using MFP pre-op also. You can find me there as Serenity_lynn if you'd like to add me. Either way, best of luck to you! :)

Thank you! At 6 months out you're eating normally so you are exactly the type I would like to add :) Thanks for sharing!

I'm coming up on 2 years post-op. I log pretty regularly. You can find me on MFP as EscapePod (without the underscore).

Is anyone on caloriecount.about.com? That is where I log. I tried MFP but I already had a few years of logging with cc and I like the way you can add the amount of food better. With few exceptions you can add ANY food by serving size, cups, oz, grams, tbsp. or even numbers (like 10 pretzel sticks, etc.) so I quit MFP and just keep going with cc.

I am on MFP but, do not know how to connect with others? Sorry I am so challenged in this way, this is my only social media type interaction, here on VST. I have logged generally for 15 months....getting off track, I stepped back into logging.

Do I just type in your screen name? My hubby set up the account for me when he bought my iPad for my b-day, the day I was released from surgery Nov. 2011. My name is sandyd2011 on it.

johnlatte - log every day (6 months out). I tend to eat a lot of the same things, but don't mind sharing a pretty boring eating routine.

Happy Camper,

IWhen you're on MFP, click on the Community tab at the top, then click on the "Find Members" link in the blue bar below it. Enter the person's username in the last text box (Username or Email) and click on Search, then click on "Add as a Friend".

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
