I was sleeved in July.. Im down 120lbs and l feel great.. However l have an issue.. My skin is looser, and parts of me "jiggle" when l walk, jog, and workout at the gym.. The main problem areas are my upper legs (thighs) and my chest (man boobs)... Its sometimes embarrassing and makes me feel uncomfortable.. With it still being too soon for me to consider the skin removal, is there ANYTHING l can do to help the situation??

My doc told me to wait at least a year or two because your skin will adjust more and regroup.. but you have to do what makes you feel good about yourself.

Take care,

J

Compression clothing. Under armour shirts only do so much. M check out makemeheal.com. They have some interesting stuff for Tummy Tuck post ops. Heavy duty compression garments that will keep the lose parts contained.

Eventually, your man boobs will go away...keeping working out. The rest may not without surgery, but typically docs want you to wait at least a year. Depends on the doc I guess.

look up rash guard shirts.. You can wear them under your regular shits and they are sorta like compression clothing.

Under Armour has some great compression clothing. Kind of pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. My son gave me some of the pants and my legs feel so much better when I wear them for working out. It's like having a mini-massage with every step. I have some flabby(no muscle) thighs and the compression pants work great.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
