My surgeon's office told me that my insurance doesn't require pre-approval. I'm assuming this means that they just make sure my i-s are dotted' date=' and my t-s are crossed. The surgeon said they'll call me with a date. I verified with the gals at the front desk because it seemed too easy. They have everything they need. It's just a matter of giving me a date! I am going crazy waiting. I saw them last on Wed morning. It's Monday!!! Why are they torturing me so?! Hahahaha!! I just need to vent to people who understand my pain.[/quote']

U don't realize how lucky u r

I know I'm lucky, but at the same time I kinda wish we had to get pre-approval. What happens if they turn in all my bills after surgery, and they refuse to pay? Then I'm stuck with a massive bill. That is what I am afraid of!!

Congrats! I am in the waiting boat too. I had my appt with the surgeon Thursday. The nurse told me she will be submitting to insurance Monday. I am so excited to have a date. Hopefully soon :-)

Aww, you can't throw away all that work! Did you get the letter from your doctor submitted? What about being the squeaky wheel? Call and bug them every few days. Bcbs that is. Talk to as many people as you can. If they said that is all you needed then it should be pretty simple to get approval!

I am sorry you are going thru this. Just don't give up! Things will all happen in His time, remember? Keep preparing yourself in the mean time. You may get a date that is super close once approved! Continue or start exercising, cut your calories down, etc. It will help prepare you for things to come. Keep your chin up!

Ladies' date=' you all are so excited and ready for surgery that it's contagious. Everything is going to work for each of you just as and when it's supposed to. I cannot wait to read your success stories by the time I'm ready to go in. I've just had my 3rd of 7 required weigh-ins (blue care network). They're telling my date will be mid- to late-August. I was disheartened initially, even deciding not to have surgery. That decision lasted all of 1 day. ☺ After the seminar I thought I wanted the bypass but have decided on the sleeve. Fortunately, an acquaintance had the sleeve several months ago and looks absolutely fabulous!! We've talked and she's volunteered to coach me. She is so transparent and very excited for me. I'm glad during this waiting period my nutritionist is introducing the habits I required post-surgery. This change is requiring lots of prayer and I know I'll succeed. [/quote']

YIKES!! Forgot about this post. So much has happened and I'm scheduled to sleeve 11/19. Most problems was getting all doctors to send their releases in. A couple I had to go pick up and drop off or fax myself. But I know it's more important to me than them.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
