Massive appetite little restriction

Recommended Posts

Use toasted bread crumbs on meat. To help it not slide through the pouch too quickly.

Try to ask your Dr about Phentermine. It cuts appetite like HUGE percentage. Some small people forget to eat! Since you're larger it may be PERFECT to cut appetite just enough to follow your post diet correctly without so many cravings. Adderall is the other with similar ingredients to Phentermine but it's for ADD patients. So don't mention weight, just report attention problems & maybe doc will write for it. Both are cheap meds & work soooo great for hunger control. I'm on one now & dnt know if I'd had the willpower for sleeve diet without it.

Phentermine is very dangerous(for some). Prior to surgery, the GI specialist that my surgeon sent me to for my EGD prescribed me some(she runs a weight loss program in her clinic). I took it for two days and I felt shaky, wide awake, nervous, and my heart was racing a million miles an hour. Those were the worst two days of my life and I don't recommend taking Phentermine. My psychologist said it is not recommended because its so much like speed, an upper. There are other alternatives I'm sure, point is we all have to figure out what we can do to keep our appetite at bay by eating every two hours if you have to and drinking tons of Water.< /p>

Yea people usually start low & increase. You get TONS of energy, get chores done, homework, fun with kids. I loved it. To each its own...

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
