Thanks NannyG!

My apron was just horrid... It was well below my knicker line, my skin had just had it! Lumpy and bumpy so bad that control pants didn't hide it at all!

When I exercised it jiggled (even with Lycra on) to such a degree that it pulled my back... The only thing that wouldn't affect it was walking! So, it had to go... Just want this stage of recovery to be over with!

I'm BCBS Federal Basic and I'm 95% to my surgeon's goal at 11 mos. post op. I believe a panni or TT is in my future and I'm curious too about how much documentation was required to get authorization. I'll be a little over 100# lost, at goal and had 3 c-sections. Lots of flap, lots of skin. Good luck--you'll come through this like the champ you are!

I am not sure what stipulations are. I dont think I have any. I did have a rash and was put on a steroid cream. My panni hangs low but not completely over my lady area. I went in and complained about irritation and when i do Zumba it hurts to run or jump. I have lost 154 total but 110 since sleeve in August. Leaving me with skin hanging on tummy arms and thighs. I am 39 pounds to goal. I have more to lose. But my skin enable s me to exercise the way I could. Doc says this could help with encouragement and be more motivation to lose the rest of my weight. The doctor took pictures and wrote up a letter for insurance. Three weeks later got sn approval! I believe it depends on what type of coverage you company that you have insurance through depends on what is covered. I may be wrong..I have bcbstx ppo. Good luck friends. I will post before and after pics for you to see! Thanks for the motivating comments♥

Oh and in was told I had 2 pounds of skin on tummy and 15 total pounds on body so that was a misunderstanding so as of now after two pounds of skin on my tummy I still have 38 pounds to lose till goal

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
