Please talk to me about head hunger. How do you know if it's in your head, or real? and if it's just in your head, how do you manage it? Does it ever go away? I've been sleeved for a week now, and in the late afternoon/early evening, I have been getting (I think) ravenously hungry. I have been compliant with the clear liquid/protein instructions from doctor, but it's really intense and hard to fight.

I was always hungry at your stage, and I now it was not head hunger. So when I was, I ate. I always made good choices, and stuck with the plan I was given my by Dr/NUT. But I could not fight the hunger, at first I thought it was just me, but then coming on this forum I realized some were hungry and some not. So my advice to you is eat.. make the right choices and follow the plan, don't let the hunger get to you.. because it can depress you.. I am three months out, feel wonderful, and am down about 45 pounds.. You will do great.. Good Luck!

Thanks so much, i feel a little less crazy now! :) I was a little distressed at how much I was consuming (I managed 10 oz of Muscle Milk in about 45 min), but when I start eating more substantial food I think it will line out. Hopefully that will start today, 1 week check up this afternoon!

I'm a little more than 3 wks out now and experienced the same thing. For the first couple of weeks I thought I was starving. As more time goes by I find that I'm not hungry at all and have to make myself eat something. It just takes a little getting used to not eating much. When I started eating some real food the head hunger went away and now I eat out of necessity instead of hunger. You'll do great!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
