I am about 15 months out and I have gained 6lbs. I'm so depressed I can't even begin to explain. Family problems and running around with the kids has really done a number on me. I'm frightened that the sleeve is no longer working and I will regain everything again.

Take charge! I too after 15 months had gained 7 pounds back. Its so easy to do. But now I took charge and cut my cals by a few hundred per day and started working out and am back down to where I was.... I am even trying to lose an additional 10 pounds. YOU CAN DO THIS!

1.) focus on Water between meals. get 64 or more ounces for sure

2.) when you wanna snack go for veggies and low fat dip, or high Protein low cal foods like tuna and cottage cheese.

3.) burn extra calories every day working out, walking more, taking the stairs, just move more!

you can take charge... don't give up, and on the bright side its only 6 pounds.... set your goal to lose 1 pound per week. :-) I am with ya!

All my skinny friends gain a bit of weight & then they work on losing it right away. I hear them say "I gained 5 lbs on my cruise so now I'm working on losing it" & they do. If I had done that for every 5 lbs I gained on vacation, over a holiday, over a crisis, over a joyous occasion, etc...I wouldn't be on this board! I'd be out living my life as a slim healthy person. So while I'm sitting here pre-op at nearly 300 lbs, I'd just like to encourage you to take charge NOW so you won't return to looking like someone like me! That's what I plan to do once I get my weight off. Wishing you the best!

Don't be too hard on yourself!!! The great thing is that you're recognizing it!! I'm 17 months out and have been stalled for almost 5 months (and have been fluctuating 3-4 pounds up and down). I had to take a long hard look at myself...it was eye opening to say the least!! I would not consider 6 lbs a a real "gain". Look on the bright side, it's not 10 pounds...or 15...or 20!!!

I think there are a lot of us here that are working to get back on track. For me, it's just about tracking....when I start tracking, my nutrition improves. Figure out what you need to get yourself back on track and make that a priority.

You're not alone in your struggle, but you're the only one that can figure out why you're struggling!!!

And.....never, never, never give up!!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
