prettybird & Alberta- walking is the best but damn I hated doing it! I'm also craving food- I know it's just my head but I'd seriously consider compromising my ethics for a grilled cheese! LOL! I've got 14 days of full liquids then mushy foods- it'll be a while before I get solid stuff!

Sleeved on the 8th. Came home yesterday evening. GI system is fully awake tonight, good burping helping with gas pains, which are not too bad. Soreness is better, trying to move frequently. Anxious to see how week goes! Good luck everyone!

Oh yeah. I'm wiped out when I least expect it.

And YES! OMG the fast food commercials! The new pizza Hut sliders! Are you kidding me? They play that darn thing all the time.

One more thing- my heating pad has helped with the gas pain too! It's my new BFF!

Yes gel! I just went through what I can only describe as a "hot flash". I got all hot and woozy and felt like everything for darker. I immediately got in my recliner in front of a fan but **** now I'm too exhausted to even text. My shoulders hurt. Hubby just brought me a Popsicle.

Hi everyone,

I'm an April sleever but worried about doing stairs when I get home. We have a lot of them so I thought I'd ask, are you guys able to get up and down stairs ok? Stairs were TOUGH after my c section. I know this is totally different though. I wish you all the best, quick healing, excellent results and minimum pain!!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
