200 Pounds Down Present To Myself!

Recommended Posts

I finally got to go get my "200 lb down" present to myself, my sister tattoo! I still have a hard time believing how much I have actually lost and how different I am. So, I'm going to make sure I reward each of my milestones! Here's my first one, a tattoo shared with my sister. A big part of dealing with my weight loss was dealing with our relationship so I could mend the issues we had between us. I am so thankful for the gained relationship with her, and losing the pounds and resentment. Now I'm looking forward to the last 100 lbs to be gone, I'm well on my way!

(My sister's says: "If there ever comes a day when we can't be together...")

(Mine says: "...keep me in your (heart), I'll stay there forever.")

You are an inspiration. My surgery date is on April 10th and I have at least 225 lbs to lose in order to reach a normal weight. I sometimes question whether the sleeve will be a powerful enough tool but stories like yours puts my mind at ease. I can't wait to join you on the loser's bench. Keep up the good work!

I still think that every day, if I will be able to actually get all the way there or not. Then I remind myself how far I've come and I realize that I'm well on my way and I need to be proud of that. You will get there and you have a support system here if you need one! Congratulations on taking the first step towards a healthier and happier you! You will do amazing!

I love the tat's but they look so painful! This is a milestone and you will get the next 100 lbs off. Oh and working out your grievances between you and your sis is healing in itself.....

You girls are awesome! :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
