Any March 19 sleevers?

Recommended Posts

still have a little burning feeling in my left side by where the drainage tube was. doc took out my drainage tube yesterday instead of today because it was so uncomfortable and like it was tugging when i walked. maybe I'm paranoid and it's just gas

I'm having a hard time with this as well. I just don't want anything. I have a playtex sippy that looks like a small travel coffee cup. The only way I can sort of tolerate it is to just holding it to my mouth and taking a few drops at a time.... what a chore. Who would have thought this would be the hard part.

Fortunately, I'm not having trouble with the fluids. I am crushing up ice with water...mixing it with crystal lite and using a spoon to dip out of ice and liquid. It keeps me from sipping too fast and its more like a slushy. I love my Protein shakes! Already got in my 60grams of protein for the day. I drink Premier Protein from Sams/Costco. Inexpensive and taste really good. Try different things...and always sip sip sip! I know that feeling too...stomach just churns when you consume anything too fast!

Please let me know how this works out for yall!

Katia...i'm also 3day postop and everything u wrote is exactly what im going thru. I feel a lot better today.using my heat pad and walking as much as I can. I had a sharp pain on my left side last night but I think it was either gas or my incision. I feel swollen still so i'm afraid to get on scale and see that I gained. May just wait until next week to weigh in. what r u eating? I drink Water and only half a popsicle a day!!!

I'm the same way, I was sleeved on the 21 and only seem to be able to sip a half cup of chicken broth and a couple popsicles and a little Crystal light, but I was able to sleep on my side a lil bit last night. But today I seem a tad bit hungry not sure what to do. I'm scared to try anything any suggestions please!!!!

New me!!! March 21

Omg the shoulder pain..uuggg. yes I had that as well up until yesterday. They said it is gas and it will work its way out. It sure doesn't feel like any gas I've ever had before lol.

I am happy to hear you are all patched up now. How long after surgery did you find out you were bleeding?

Hi,

I had my surgery on march 19th too and I've been feeling the shoulder pain since the first day. The dr. told me that it is very common and that it is a "reflex" pain caused by the diafragm and gas.

Yesterday night I had the worst piercing pain in the shoulder til now, and it was just before my first bm, after that I felt fine.

What I want to tell you all is it seems that this symptom is very common, and hopefully it will be gone soon. Don't worry too much about it.

Talking about something else, is anybody here from Mexico?

All my best wishes for every new sleever here, everything is going to be just fine!!!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
