New Sleever with a food Q.

Recommended Posts

Hi All- I am two weeks out and feeling well. I wanted to run my daily intake by some veteran sleevers to see if I am on the right track. Im still on full liquids/some puree's. I want to make sure im eating what I need to optimize my weight loss.

1 cup plain greek yogurt mixed with 1 scoop Syntrax chocolate Protein powder

2 eggs pureed w 1 tbsp greek yogurt and 1/4 tsp mustard

1/4c pea Soup with 1 tsp ff sour cream

1/4c skim ricotta cheese w 1 tbsp Tomato sauce & garlic powder

I ate these things over the course of 1 day with about 2-3 hours in between

I drank 69 oz Water or flavored water beverage

600 cals and 64g Protein

good? bad? too much? not enough?

thanks for the input

I think it looks great. Just know that when you move into solids, you will be struggling to get two eggs in for a little while, so don't be surprised or think that anything is wrong! It's just harder to eat as much solid food.< /p>

Thanks for the info. Love the tattoo on your pic. My lab is named Zelda. Her collar tag is the triforce. Nerds unite.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
