My surgeon is dr angstadt from st Charles hospital. They will not operate if you are smoking. Not even the e-cigs are accepted but every doctor is different.

Ohh noo :( at this point you have to be careful what you take. I would boil Water and humidify the crap out of your place.

Still making final preparations for my surgery in just one day. Have all the shakes, powders and Vitamins ready to go. Have the pain meds (liquid form), bag is packed and just need to copy a few documents. Will be at the hospital by 8:30 A.M. on Wednesday, surgery at 10:30,, provided we don't get shut down due to snow. No body here (Northern VA) can handle even an inch of snow!

I was sleeved on the 1st and am doing great! I was out patient. Went to the hotel 4 hours after surgery. Slept a lot that evening, but made myself walk to get the gas out. Saturday I only took 1 pain pill, but probably could have gotten away with just a Tylenol. Walked that day too. It was a harder day in that I couldn't get my Protein Shakes down and probably only 4 oz of Water. Called my surgeon and he told me to try Popsicles and Powerade zero. Those were the ticket! sugar free Popsicles work great! Sunday, I walked the mall and felt great! Today I drove my 4 hour drive home and it made my belly button a bit sore, but not bad. I got 30 oz of Protein in along with about 20 oz of liquid. So, it's been easier every day! I also went to Denny's and had them strain their vegetable beef Soup and just sipped on that and also their chicken soup on another day. That was heaven! I'm super happy and excited for my new life. Down 14 pounds since the beginning of my pre op diet. Yay! Good luck, you March Sleevers!

Hi Everyone.

I have been checking out this sight for a few weeks while I move through the process.

Last thursday I finally got my date. March 18th is my day. I am very excited and more than ready to do this for ME.

In the last few years I was stuck in repeat mode. Maybe my own groun hogs day :-)

I would exercise then hurt so bad I couldnt exercise for a few days. I am talking walking here.

So i would not exercise, so I didnt hurt.

I am now down 15 lbs while moving through the insurance process. I walk 5 days a week. 2 times a day with a bypass vet.

I just want all to know its been inspiring to follow all of your posts.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
