well I have heard you all talking about stalls, but now i believe I am also experiencing one myself. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrated. How can we possibly only be eating 3 oz. of food and not have the scale move in over 10 days?

It just makes no sense to me. even tonight at dinner my hubby said "I can't believe the weight isn't just falling off of you with the little amt. you are eating." How long does it take to start loosing or did I do this for a darn 25 lbs total? I surely hope not.

Please help!

Wow I have not had my surgery yet but I am scheduled for February 28th. I think I would be following up with my surgeon. Hang in there and I wish you the very best.

Your body is "catching up" to the loss. If you haven't already, take your measurements because you'll usually lose inches when you're not losing the weight. Your scale will drop once your body adjusts....I'm 2 months out and stalled the 1st time for a 10 days and the 2nd time for 2 weeks...so I'm down 32 lbs. in 2 months, but I've also lost 12" and am down 2 sizes. Hang in there!

I am 16 days out. I lost 18 lbs in 14 days, then I have not lost anything the last two. I do notice that my body seems to be contracting. I am down a size. I am not freaked out yet.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
