I am a couple days shy of 4 weeks post op. I am currently taking Celebrate Multivitamin capsules but sometimes they make me feel ill. Its hit or miss, has nothing to do if I take them on a full stomach or not. Sometimes they are fine and sometimes they make me feel like I am going to puke them up.
So for the last couple days I have been taking 2 Flintstones complete Multivitamins. They are chewable, go down fine and stay down with no ill effects. I would love to continue taking these as my daily multivitamins but I have read so many mixed reviews on them. Can anyone verify if these are ok for someone with a VSG. I doubt they are good enough for DS or RNY patients but what about people like us without malabsorption issues.
Can you guys check out my daily list of Vitamins I am taking to let me know if I am missing out on anything. Again, I have read so many mixed comments in regards to what I should be taking that it would be nice if I can get some feedback on the exact vitamins I am taking daily. I do not take an Iron supplement because I was told men do not have to... is this correct?
I take...
2 Flintstones complete chewables
1 Celebrate B12
2 packets of Upcal D 500mg each of Calcium. I mix my Protein shakes with almond milk. I get an additional 450mg calcium per shake, drink 2 shakes per day. Total calcium 1900mg daily.
