4-6 Weeks after banding

Recommended Posts

What are some examples of foods you can eat during your 4th, 5th, and 6th week after banding? I ate some chinese food yesterday and it made me feel horrible, I hope to never do that to myself again!!!!

I am so tired of this liquad stuff. Please share some of the foods you eat during these last two weeks. I've got to get back on track, NOW!!

Also, can you have a slippage before you have a fill because of eating "chinese crab angles"?:omg:

Hi Katina,

If you go to the food threads, you will find some excellent food suggestions, for each stage. Look for the Food Heading on the main page.

Meanwhile, I know you will hate hearing this...but...since you had pain with the Chinese food yesterday, you really do need to continue liquids for another full day. You may have caused swelling due to the Chinese food, and if you did, it will seem as if ALL food is causing problems, when that will not likely be the cause.

I would begin with some smooth yogurt, or pudding, and then move on from there. Check the food threads, you should find lots of ideas! And don't forget to use your blender to make your own versions of things!

Good Luck, hope you feel better soon!

Kat

Katina, I am in my 6th week. I love Chinese, but I wouldn't have attempted that just yet. Of course, the Chinese foods I love are deep fried and smothered in sugary sauces.

I keep to fairly simple recipes most of the time, but I did have a slice of pizza Hut thin and crispy pizza this weekend and did fine.

I also made meat sauce this weekend which I would ordinarily pour over spaghetti, but I just ate the sauce and made it really meaty so I'd get lots of Protein.

There are a million ideas. You might try checking out some websites for low-carb diets. The recipes there will give you lots of Protein.< /p>

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
