March Sleevers Where are You

Recommended Posts

I get my surgery done tomorrow morning. I'm beginning to get very nervous. It does not help that the weather is supposed to get really bad tonight into the morning and it might be a difficult commute! I'm so nervous

hi Ashley- I feel for you. I can eat low carb low fat preop (doing it now) and because I'm a fatty I'm having a hard time not doubling up those meals...BUT, I'm doing it and you can too....Drink Water till your floating. How about a Protein Shake they are thicker? It's only three days, you can do it girl!! Keep us updated :)

Hello shannflo- I have the same date as you and preop dieting too (not liquids though) I used Isopure low carb Dutch chocolate w/ skim milk after my lapband (I had the band 7 yrs till it slipped) that's what I'm thinking of using postoperative too. Let us know what Protein shake you end up liking. I'm more into finding a protein shake that's like drinking chocolate milk.

I'm a stay at home mom/ wife but I've been reading people taking off at least a week but would have been happier if they did 2 weeks.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
