I had my surgery and hernia repair on monday. I am still on pain meds as needed, probably every 5 hours or so, but I do half a dose. I also take once a day an acid reflux pill. I tried some miso Soup a little while ago and started having major spasms, won't be trying that again for a while, staying on Clear Liquids till saturday then going to try yogurt and my choc Protein Shakes. still not sleeping all night and still have loose stools. but better then I was. a progression like they say. :)

I had my surgery and hernia repair Monday too. I'm on liquid hydrocone every 6 to 7 hrs as needed. I tried to get a prescription for liquid prevacid, but the pharmacy said I needed a prior authorization. Getting ready to call my surgeon's office to see what that's all about. I'm on clear liquids (broth, Jello, water) until Saturday morning too. I start on Protein drinks then too. I'm sleeping ok...off and on. I have had no stools at all yet.

I had my surgery on Tue. the 19th. Everything went well, went home around 7pm on wed. I'm having a lot of gas pain and am having issues with sleeping I can't get comfortable I'm trying to sleep on a reclining couch but the pressure from my stomach is killing my back. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was hoping the pain killers would just knock me out but that isn't happening either. I would live to get more then 4 hours of sleep tonight.

I'm having the same issue. I'm so tired but I can't sleep either. I had the surgery on the 19th also. I went home around 11. I'm averaging 3-4 hours of sleep before pain or just being uncomfortable wake me up. I'm using a stomach binder and that helps some with walking but it's not the most comfortable for sleeping. Also when I remove it to change I fell horrible and I get an intense pain on one of my incisions.

Day 3 after surgery feeling great. No pain. No game. Going home today. My doctor wanted to make sure I was healed before leaving the hospital. Hope all is week. Drop 4lbs so far. Liquid 1 ounce every hour. Out of work for 2 weeks. My decision. Strong support system. Walk twice daily to prevent any clots. We are blessed... God is awesome. We made it...

How is everyone doing? I feel amazing!!!

Overall I think I've had a smooth recovery these last two weeks. Incisions are healing nicely. I can't wait to have a little crunch in my diet, and I'm eating a little more on the purée stage then on the full liquid stage.

How are you doing???

Height 5'4

Pre op weight 258.4

Date of surgery 251.2

Current weight 235.0

Total weight loss to date 23.4lbs!!!!

Just starting puréed today. Usually at about 600 cals and 70g Protein a day. Greek yogurt saved my life! No pain, incisions are hardly noticeable. Even started jogging with the dog and the baby. Couldn't feel better.

Sw: 253

CEO: 235

Height: 5'2

Down about 18lbs! But where I really see the difference is in inches! Lost 5 on my wAist alone!

I'm 2 weeks out, and feeling pretty good. I've had no issues except I get tired real easily. I introduced eggs, refried Beans, and mashed potatoes back in to my diet this past weekend. Everything went down real well. I fill up only after a few bites, but seem to be hungry again in a couple of hours. I've lost 19 lbs, but seem to be at a stall since I added the "real" food.< /p>

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
