I was sleeved 1/9. I have lost 23 pounds in 2 weeks!!!! Having trouble getting Protein and liquids in, but that is getting better! Started purees saturday. Doing really well. I have tolerated everything I have tried except my Vitamins. My NUT gave me some powdered vitamins and my sleeve seems to tolerate that better.

Sleeved 1/8 with no complications other than fighting to make sure I get all my fluids and meds in. One week until a follow-up with the doc and they advance the diet. I don't have a reliable scale so I'm not sure what I've dropped so far but I'll find out next week.

Sleeved on 1/16 down 12lbs since day of surgery. Feeling good but STRUGGLING with the Protein Shakes and this loud bubbly noise. The gas is still moving around and gets stuck right in my esophagus which hurts. But other then that I'm on my way!

Hello Family sleeved 1/8 am doing good having a problem getting all my Protein in not that I can't keep anything down just forget sometimes :( I can eat almost anything as long as I chew a million times!!! Ate some raw pepperoni's last night and it came right back up too greasy!!! Weighed 265 day of surgery down to 241 so far so good!!! Even though I can't see it everyone else has noticed!! LOL I'm happy with my decision just gets a lil frustrated with how little I can eat before I'm full but what the heck that was the purpose right!! So each day I can honestly say gets better!!!

I had surgery on 1/14 as well. I was down 8 lbs on surgery morning and as of today am 21 lbs down. I don't seem to have quite as much of a problem with food going down as I do liquid. Have you experienced any pain with liquids? Also, is your diet all sugar free and very low fat?

doin ok. sleeved on 1/16, I think i've lost 13-15 lbs since the 1/14. I'm still on full liquid for another 5 days, then pureed for 2 weeks. I'm having some difficulty getting in enough fluids and definately don't get in enough Protein. I can't stand the unflavored Protein Powder and can't have my preop Protein Shakes that were really high in protein until pureed stage. I have been drinking boost and ensure high protein since that's what I'm allowed. Hoping i won't do too much damage to my system over these past 2 weeks with only 35 grams of protein a day. I've even thought about replacing some Water with just drinking milk to get in some more protein. Other than that, things are looking decent.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
