Very cool Christy. My very best friend who I have been on this sleeve journey with is having her surgery that same day so I will be at the hospital visiting that evening!! I have to wait one more month!! I am so jealous!! I am ready for this NOW!!! Do you go to the support groups??

I am excited about it. Your surgery will be here before you know it. No I have not been to the support group.

If you decide to come try to find me! I enjoy the support groups! I love meeting and talking with other people on this same journey!!!

I am going to have to find out when they are. I did not really know about them. I have been seeing Dr Gandass since September. I had to have 6 months for my insurance.

I just has my sleeve on feb 20th by Dr. Gandsas. Everything went fine! I came home on the 21st and I'm doing pretty good. AAMC does have a support group that meets once a month. Not sure what the dates are.

The next support group meeting will be March 19 at 6:00 pm. It is on the 7th floor of the health sciences pavilion. I hope to meet all of you there!!!

Hi

I am getting sleeve with Dr Gandsas on May 8th. I love the support group. I have met many AAMC employees who have had sleeve or GBP with Dr. gandsas.

I'm ready for surgery now, but he is so busy it takes 2-3 months to get on the surgery schedule. I qualified for a March/early April date.

Love Arianne, but sometimes Jeannete kinda scares me. :)

How are you feeling? How was the two week preop diet? I am so ready. Had stomach emptying study last Saturday. Waiting for result.

So happy for you.

I am feeling pretty good and have been able to sip my liquids and protein shakes easily so far! I only stayed in the hospital one night! So glad to sleep in my own bed tonight!!

Well due to other health complications I was not able to have a my sleeve. I'm sad but Gandsas said we can still do my surgery once I'm all through the woods with this..

I am so sorry!!! I'm sure you are incredibly frustrated.

I was very worried about some unforeseen testing, but I got my results and everything came out ok.

Did dr g give you an idea of what you need to do, and when he can reschedule?

How are you feeling? Have you lost a lot? I hope all is wonderful. Can't wait to hear about it at the next support group.
