I know me too !!!! I'm thinking of The worst case scenarios like my liver hasn't shrunk enough or just some reason why the surgery won't happen and just the whole going under anesthesia is giving anxiety

I wanted to update everyone again. Surgery was on Monday' date=' I went home Wednesday and today I feel 95% back to normal. The sleeve is amazing.

I have no issues with fluids or Protein Drinks, my taste didn't change. I can eat about 3 oz of yogurt, pudding, Jello and it's equal to 3 trips to a buffet, stuffed. ( these are on my full liquid diet).

The only pain is from my larger incision and that is almost gone. I've been able to walk 1/2-1 mile since Thursday.

I was so scared after reading a lot of stories on this site and there is nothing to worry about. Have faith, and follow Dr orders and you will do great.[/quote']

Thank you for this encouraging outcome. So glad that things are going well. My surgery is this coming Thursday and I really needed reassurance!

I COMPLETELY agree with 4My2Boys. We had our surgery on the same day. I'm planning on going back to work on Monday (yep 1 week post op). I feel that good. Luckily my boss is awesome and said work as little or as much as you like and don't worry about the money.....nice company huh??? But I plan on doing a couple hour meeting on Monday and see how I feel from there. No heavy lifting required in my job and I can come home whenever I feel like it. The surgery wasn't that bad! My knee and back surgery was 10 times worse. So glad I had it done!!

This is great to know. I was worried about the 3week recovery the doctor told me about. Thank you for sharing.

Best of luck to those having surgery in the next few days!! We are all excited for you - keep us posted on how you're doing!

Tomorrow is my pre-op testing day. I'll be at the hospital from 6am-3pm! This evening, I'm driving down to Dayton and spending the night in a hotel right down the road from the hospital. Luckily, it's not crappy weather, but I still feel better doing it this way instead of getting on I-75 at 4:00 in the morning tomorrow.

But just remember everyone recovers at a different pace. Listen to your body and don't push yourself

I'm scheduled for February 25th. My Preop appt is on the 14th. I started my liquid diet yesterday. This liquid diet is going to be tough! I hope I can have the willpower to stick to it. I feel optimistic but smelling the roast that is in the crockpot for the rest of the family is difficult! How is everyone else doing??

I'm scheduled Feb 19. On day sixth day of liquid diet. It is tough but I find I'm already feeling good because I'm not eating crap and losing some weight. Yes it is tough when the rest of the family is eating 'reg' food but I'm keep thinking that this is not a sprint to better health its a marathon. Good Luck Lizzy0827!

I just got a big container of that chicken Soup in the mail today. I should have tried the samples first  Oh well...

I have big container coming. the reviews were good. I'm thinking by the time I'm post op and on Clear Liquids that might be looking pretty darn tasty! Thinking positive!

I guess I'm lucky, I am on the 20th. 2 week pre-op is 5 shake/protein bars and one 5 oz meat and 2 cups veggies. I'm splitting the meals in two so I don't eat a lot at once. Can't wait to be on the sleeved side and get on with things!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
