I need help! I was sleeved March 15 and I'm having a hard time getting Protein in. Nothing taste good to me in that department. I've even tried the injury flavorless powder but I can't get past the smell or texture/milky-looking concoction. Any suggestions??

I was sleeved March 14th and am having same problem. Premier Protein from costco is the only one I've somewhat tolerated.

Try Isopure. It's light tasting and is 2 grams of protein per oz. 1 20oz bottle has 40 grams of protein. It is by far the the most painless way to get the protein in. Comes in several flavors

Traycrow' date=' good for you! Thats a fantastic weight loss. You have lost twice as much as i have. I didnt mean to sound negative - i was just looking for advice or possibly encouragement from someone who might be having similar problems as mine. It's scary to think i did all this for 14 pounds! :-0. I too have followed the rules and i would like to lose 120 to 130 pounds. I was just hoping it would fall off in the very beginning. It started that way, but stopped 2 days ago. I'm holding my breath, hoping & praying for a big drop tomorrow...and was just posting my emotions because i thought someone would be supportive in this forum. We're all going thru the same surgery.[/quote']

My post wasnt reguarding anything you said about losing slow. Im sorry if I offended you. Everyone loses at their own pace. I also couldve had a higher BMI than you so that could also be why I have lost weight faster. I have talked to so many different people reguarding their weight loss and everyone ia different. I actually stepped on the scale since starting purees and it hasnt moved since yesterday. Your body is such a facinating thing and when it is ready is when you will start to shed more pounds. Patience is a vertue. But when it comes to surgery and all we have worked for sometimes we wanna see results faster than slower. Good luck to everyone and we will lose the weight :)

Hi march sleevers- is now been 48 hours since I got to the recovery room. I came home yesterday afternoon. I was able to sleep all night flat and today I drank some k2o Water for a little Protein. I made 8oz of broth and it was heavenly - great way to get fluids and soothing. Also munching on ice like crazy, its good to chew. My stats so far are:

HW: 200

SW: 192

CW: 191.5

sleep position! I have been having so much trouble sleeping because I'm not a back sleeper. Also, when I lay flat it hurts my stomach. I only feel comfortable if I can sit up slightly. Has anyone else experienced this?

Kodiesmom, i felt the same way at first. I thought id never get that pukey Isopure shake down after surgery, but all i did was add some blueberry crystal light & i couldnt believe the improvement. It went from yuck to almost yummy. Recently i bight the vanilla whey powder from costco. Today i opened it &added half if a scoopful to non-fat Greek yogurt & voila! It was like eating cheesecake! Keep trying. You'll find something that works for your tastebuds.

Glad to hear everyone doing well and getting the fluids and Protein down.

Well my stresses continue... I posted previously about my dad drinking and hopefully we're on the right path now, he's been sober 3 days.

Now my daughters father has decided to send me an abusive idiotic text message. She is 3, he barely sees her (2hrs every 6wks) and now she is crying not wanting to go out with him and it's my fault - he's a complete imbecile. I'd laugh if I wasn't so angry.

Work has also been mega stressful and I'm going to hospital tomorrow to get a little cyst cut out my eyelid. All this while being on a preop diet.

I am actually proud how I've stuck to the diet and coped with all this pressure.

I'm hoping it means I'm due some good luck next Tues at my op.

So scary!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
