I was sleeved 1/9 and have lost 10 lbs post op plus the 20 lbs pre op. No nausea or problems and have first checkup next Monday. Be interesting to see what their scales show. Off to a good start just have to keep it going. It is very strange not to be hungry.

One week from today I have my surgury...I am starting to get nervous...I am not sure what to expect. Seeing your amazing progress keeps me hopeful. I am struggling with my pre-op diet...any advice or words of wisdom would be most helpful. Again, GREAT job!

dont worry the pre op diet is the hardest! Just dont put yourself in places that make it way harder for you n like dtrive thrus, or around your favorite foods! I had to be on soft food 3 days prior to surgery and the day before surgery nothing but clear liquid. The Isopure Protein clear drink helped my hunger ALOT! got them at the vitamion Shoppe. As for the surgery the thing that was most painful was the GAS!!!! Walk, Walk, Walk ! Helps soooo much also dont be afraid to ask for your pain meds. Good luck to you

Hi, I was sleeved on the 11th. stayed one night in. Since home I have been doing plenty of sipping Isopure, Water and chicken broth. I ate a couple spoons of Jello yesterday before full and burping, I had a half of a sugar free popcicle this evening and started to have pain and fullness. Husby says I more then likely I tried to swallow too much at one time, still trying to adjust to small swallows or I get the gassy burpy feel. Continuing to walk and refusing to get on scale till 1st. post op on Thursday, belly still swollen and incisions beginning to itch-Husby pulled the medicine bulb (that I was sent home with) during my 1st. shower this morning (all went well) continuing to pray for a speedy recovery.

Sleeved on the 9th. Down 10lbs since then but wondering if I'm going to keep losing at that rate now that I've added full liquids in. It seemed much easier to get all my fluids in when I was only drinking clears. Now that I need to accommodate 64 oz clear plus the Protein Shakes and Soups its more of a struggle. It seems that the day is a constant sip sip sip but not hungry at all. Some sort of weird alternate universe I've been transported into.

Surgery was Jan 7th. Lost 14 pounds since then. 19 pounds since pre op. pain finally subsided. No nausea but i did become dehydrated and I'm fatigued. Its been hard to get it all in but i just have to sip sip sip. Start purees tomorrow. Dying for real food!

I was sleeved on New Year's Eve! Yes I was in the hospital instead of partying but what I great way to start a new year. I am now 3 weeks post op and I feel A LOT better than the first 2 weeks. Ugh, that was bad. I am on puréed foods. I find it challenging to attend business sit down dinners, etc without all the questions about why I am not eating much.... It's frusturating. Great news I'm down to 207 from 228!

I was sleeved on January 7th and I am down 20 lbs (including pre-op liquid diet loss). The mornings are rough with weakness and fatigue but once I get some fluids in, I perk up. I'm due back to work on the 21st. I have a feeling i'll only be working half days though for a week or so because my doctor is very strict and orders a liquid diet for another week.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
