Mexico sleevers and passports

Hey all,

I was wondering if there is anyone that has already been sleeved in Mexico that used a passport card vs. a passport book?? I'm not really sure what the difference is except the card is cheaper. Did anyone have any issues using the passport card? Any input would help a bunch especially from people who have already been there. Thanks

If I was YOU, I'd just get the actual passport book even if you don't need it for your mexico surgery... CUZ, you never know when the option for international travel may arise in the future and it's just a good idea to have a passport.

The card or passport work fine. The passport card is more convient because you can get in and out of the dreaded long entry and departing lines into mexico faster. You can scan your passport card before you get to the booth and it transports the information from your card to the agent in the booth, while you might be 4 5 or 6th in line.

That's awesome, I didn't know that! Thank you

I chose to get the passport card vs the book. The card gets you across boarders by land OR sea. A book is definitely needed when flying into other countries. The card was cheaper and got to my home pretty fast... less than 3 weeks.
