Hi - I am a Seattle Sleever who had VSG performed by DR McMahan at Swedish Hospital on Capital Hill. Fairly pleased with the process before, during and after the procedure was performed. They have support group once a month and regular follow up every 3, 6, 9, 12 and 24 month. I am currently just about at 9 months. The dietician, PA, MA and nurses are all very supportive, very good at what they do and, more importantly, love what they do. It shows in how they treat the patients. I would recommend them to anyone.

Hello fellow Swede! They've actually got two support group meetings a month (2nd Saturday 10-noon and 4th Tuesday 6:30-8pm).

Yup- how correct you are! I think both sessions cover the same material. I typically go to the Saturday meeting and love meeting up with all the swedes.

Hi, all. I'm from Monroe, and if all goes well I'll be getting my sleeve in July sometime. I'm working with Dr Michaelson at NWWLS. I've done my obligatory 6 months of supervised diet with Sarah, had my psych evaluation with Linda, and now just waiting to do the last bits closer to my planned surgery.

I haven't been to any support group meetings yet but I'm planning to go to the Saturday one in April. I've got some blender bottles and some Protein powder/shakes I'm not using that I'm going to offer to whoever wants them.

That's great. I was going to be sleeved with Dr. Michaelson at NWWLS until I found out the trouble of using my UHC insurance with them. I thought he was a very competent doctor after talking with him. Hope all goes well for you. I really liked their facility off of 128th street; it was very clean, modern, organized and I felt welcome there.

Fiddleman- how often do you go to the Saturday support group? I went to one during the week and there were only a few people there.

Hi there -- I'm in Kirkland and was sleeved on 3/7/13 by Dr Landerholm at Puget Sound Surgical Center.

Curious to know if there are any Microsofties on here. If there are, and you’d like to get together for a lunch walk, I’d love to do that. I won’t tell anyone if you won’t…other than my medical staff, only one person in the whole world knows I did this, my sister

.

I haven’t been to any support groups yet, but thinking about going to the next one in Edmunds. Has anyone been? Are they worth going to?

Are you going to the group at St. Claire in Lakewood or a different one in the Navos area?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
