Are these glued and stiched or just glued wounds? I was wondering if glue left less scar, maybe that's why they use it alone. Has anyone had their scars heal up so well they can't tell they had surgery? I'd love to see one/two years out scars. Just wondering if when I get that slim again if I could ever wear a bikini again

I was glue less in 5 days. Itching sucks I had it then it went away but now it's back right around my belly button action.

It's finally starting to fall off! So it's not itching as much... Doctor said about 10-14 days it will all be gone. Cuts are almost completely healed :-)

I had glue without issues. No itching or scabs, just a fine line at each site. Too bad the effort was wasted on a no-return-10lb- baby- x's 3-belly of stretch marks ... Think that's right lol

My incisions were glued shut and steri strips were applied over them. I had no "glue" issues, such as the glue having to fall off or anything. I was cleared to shower right away, no scrubbing and the steri strips would gradually fall off. Now, as for itching, OMG. I have six incisions and five of them have red blisters around them that itch like the dickens. I use Cortisone topically and take Benedryl capsules when I go to bed. I don't itch them because I don't want them to get worse.

I didn't get dermabond because of my adhesive allergy. My friend had surgery the week before me, ad also is allergic to adhesive. She had a horrible reaction. Our surgeon opted to not use glue on me. So I went home 24 hrs later with six incisions, with no staples, sutures, or steri-strips.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
