Does drinking Water make anybody else sick? It makes me sick to my stomach. Before surgery, I could drink water all day, now I can't even get in 4 oz. Is this normal? Please advise. Thanks!

Before surgery, Water was my drink of choice. After surgery, it affected me the same as it does you. After a month or so, though, water tasted great again. Hang in there.

Yup, I went from drinking nothing but Water and tea to drinking nothing but flavored waters and tea.

I'm glad to know I'm not alone. I hate I can't drink Water. I know that I need it. I live off of sugar free Popsicles as well!!! That is crazy. I couldn't stand those things before my surgery, 12/21. Now I can't live without them.

I am 10 weeks out and can still only do tiny amonuts of plain Water. Less than a bottle and I crave it so much. I have just this past week been able to tolerate crystal light in my water. Othwrwise I add a splash of diet cranberry or applejuice and that is the only way I have been able to stay hydrated.

Hahahahaha yes they are.

Sooo... A tip for water... I read today that apparently the make up of Water causes it to sort if "sit" on top of our sleeve and not just go through smoothly like other liquids, which is why we can have pain and nausea from it. For some people, mio or crystal light break it up enough to make it work, but that didn't happen for me. However today I tried a slice of real lemon in my Water bottle.... I got all the juice of out one slice. I am tolerating this amazing compared to regular water....will be doing this until real eater doesn't bother me anymore! Hooray!

Guys what is MIO?? I've been seeing it mentioned a lot lately, and curious as to what it is and where you get it from.

You can get mio from any grocery store. It's little bottles of liquid Water flavoring. You van squeeze a little in or a lot depending on your taste. Before surgery I loved strawberry watermelon. Post surgery it doesnt sit well.

Thanks! I'll find some when I go to find my bomb pops!!! Right now I've reverted back to cranapple juice.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
