Extremely Frustrated!!!

Recommended Posts

I got my first fill on 10/12, 1cc. I still had no restriction so two weeks later he put 2cc more in my band. I could not even drink the Water he gave me, immediately PB'd, so he took 1cc back out, leaving me with a total of 2cc's (hopefully, I think he got all messed up).

Now it seems I have no restriction whatsoever...although yesterday, I did PB after eating a small piece of french bread. But today, I have eaten much more than ususal and feel fine.

I am just so frustrated!!!!

It takes time for most to determine if their fill is too much or too little. Also, some can eat one day and not the next. Still others find that food they could eat before a fill they might not be able to eat afterwards.

My advice is to take it slow and easy. Get a fill and go a while to determine if it is enough, or too much, or just right. If you need more go for additional fill, but not at 2 cc increments. My personal experience has been that I can't tollerate big fills. You might not be able to either.

It will just take time. I know its frustrating, but its a part of the program.

I only have a 9.75 band, which only holds 4 cc's, so I only have 2cc's more that can be filled.

Thanks for the advice. Although I already know all of these rules, it is still frustrating, but it's nice to be consoled. :P

I am at 2.2 ccs in a 4cc band. This is my second fill and after a week, it feels really good. I can only eat 1/2 cup, which is what my doc recommends at one meal time.

I never eat bread, it is not band friendly. I know some can but not me, so I don't even try.

Try to focus on your Proteins first and soft veggies.

I hope this fill works out for you.

...and it is true that sometimes a fill takes a couple of weeks to settle and work properly.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
