I am making a grocery list, looking at recipes and just cleaned out my pantry sending home a million cans of Soup with my kids.

I don't think I will be eating any soup for the next year or so. I am doing the happy dance!

I know exactly how you feel, I should have bought stock in Campbell's Soup before having WLS! Unfortunately, however, thick Soups go down the sleeve much better than say mashed potatoes and poultry with gravy. I'm having a hard time with chicken and eggs still, I'm better off having a creamed soup when we eat out (i.e., Panera bread, etc.) but still cannot open a can at home! Sliced low sodium Boar's Head turkey (or equiv. high quality deli turnkey) is ok. Chicken and tuna, not OK - the consistency seems to stick in my sleeve blocking much from getting down so I can only eat 4 tsps. - not nearly a meal, and if I eat one bite too much, the feeling of over-eating is verrry unpleasant, you don't do it often. My daily menu includes one shake (20 grams protein), 1 Protein Bar (20 grams) and a Greek yogurt (11 grams). My B/L/D usually add up to another 10-15 grams so I make my 60 gram minimum. If I feel its been lower, I'll have another shake or a 1/2 of one after dinner. I wish I could say you'll be eating like a Queen...you're eyes will be way bigger than your stomach and every meal you will discover what works and what doesn't. Good luck and happy new year!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
