Recommended Posts

Do any of you use a vibroplate in your exercise program? I go to the gym 3 times a week and will continue o do so because i have paid in advance but I saw a new year sale or a home version and wondered if they re any good.

A machine that vibrates and exercises your muscles, you stand on the plate or take different poses and different sets of muscles are exercised. You only use it for 10-15 mins and it is supposed to be the same as a full gym workout. You might call them something different in the US, I live in UK

IMHO..anything that offers a full body workout by just standing there and being vibrated is about the same as "take this pill and get a beach body in 30 days while eating what you want"...smile, again..just my opinion.

I've used them on the past not a home version but one at a club. They really are amazing for firming. I would use bands while on it and you could truly feel the burn. If I thought the home version was comparable I would buy it but my concern is they won't be as strong.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
