Stalled at 7 weeks out

Recommended Posts

Anybody out there who has gone through a stall in weight loss? I am 7 weeks post op and for the past week I have been at the same weight and I am following the program perfectly. Is this normal? I need some advice or reassurance or both. First month saw a 22lb loss than another 8lbs in weeks 4 &5 now I am stuck. If you have any information or a story of your own stall please let me know.

I just went through a 3 week stall, I know exactly how you feel. Make sure you are getting all your Protein and Water in, I have a real hard time with both. I have lost 4 lbs. since the stall in the last week. Hang in there, it will pass, stick to your routine and you shouldn't have any problem. When did you have your surgery, mine was Oct. 30 and I have lost 28 lbs.

Girl, being at the same weight for a week is NOT a stall.... Lol

Now if 4-5 weeks go by and you're the same weight, that may be a stall. But not 1 week.

Keep following the rules, Protein first, etc, the scale will move. :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
