Hi All....I feel like a new person and LOVE my new body. I have lost 70 pounds and am truly enjoying yoga classes and power walking and weight lifting.

I am almost a size 10.....a little snug yet....but 12 fits beautifully.

I feel that at the rate I have lost this weight I will be a size 8 before I know it!

That is of course unless I let food interfere with my plans to be healthy and happy again........as I am a little afraid of what is happening...and what could happen in the next few weeks.

There are soooooooooooo many bad things to eat around at work.......

I am tired after work and have grabbed a burger too in the past few weeks......of course I can only eat half......but still.....and I don't even like it to be honest.....just an old habit creeping back.....

I ate 3.....yes THREE Cookies yesterday at work.

I have not done that since my surgery and it scared me how easy it was to do.

Then the scale said I gained 2 pounds this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

High alert.....sirens and bells.....somebody stop me......

Geez.....

I mean really am I going to gain a bunch of weight just because it is Christmas?????????????

Come on right??????

Sigh......

I have to fight that little voice that stills lives inside of me......telling me I WANT those things.....when I actually don't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back on track tomorrow.....

Anybody else struggling with temptation?

Temptation bothers me the most when I eat too many carbs and don't drink enough Water. If I keep my Water intake good and avoid things like chips and popcorn, it is easier to say no to temptation.

Another trick I use is to check out the calorie count BEFORE eating something. This has stopped me more than once because what I was going to eat wasn't worth the calories that were in it.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
